My Favorite Farmhouse Throw Blankets. A list of my favorite throw blankets, starting from most affordable to most expensive!

Throw blankets are awesome man.

Y’all know I love a really eclectic looking colorful room full of linens, antique artwork, throw blankets covering the couches, all different antique pillows, it all makes me so happy!

I kinda have a mix of rustic farmhouse + Victorian + French farmhouse…

It’s hard for me to know what styles are specifically called. I just know what looks good to me. And I’ve got a big opinion on it.

But adding in lots of throw blankets brings in more color and texture so I love to have lots of them on hand.

Another reason I like to have lots of them on hand is because the kids get them dirty. Annnddd that’s another reason I like them covering my couches, the kids get the blankets dirty instead of the couch cushions that are harder to clean. They don’t cover 100%, but it sure helps to have less exposed couch surface area.

My Favorite Farmhouse Throw Blankets (and some I’d like to try!)

(click on the titles to shop these blankets)

Almond Textured Knitted Decorative Throw Blanket ($16.99)

This one I haven’t tried yet but it was recommended to me by a friend! It looks really cute and I love the texture. I don’t have any knitted throw blankets yet and I’d like to add some!

DII Rustic Farmhouse Cotton Cabana Striped Blanket ($24.36)

This is one we’ve had for a very long time. It is very affordable on amazon, but it seems to actually be very high quality. This ol thing has been through a lot, I’ve used it for a lot more than just a couch throw blanket, we use it for a picnic blanket sometimes, the kids use it outside, etc. It’s been through the washer and dryer hundreds of times, seriously, and I hardly notice any wear. It’s a really nice simple farmhouse blue and white striped throw blanket, matches lots of styles and it’s a really nice blanket to have around.

My Favorite Farmhouse Throw Blankets

White Knitted Tweed Throw Blanket ($28.49)

A nice solid colored blanket, this one has tons of color options which I love! But sometimes it’s nice to add one that’s solid colored so you don’t make the room too “busy”.

Grey Knitted Throw Blanket ($29.99)

Another really classy and cute solid-colored, knit blanket that would go with almost anything. Again, this one has quite a few color options so you can match it to your own color-scheme and style.

DII Chevron Throw Honey Gold ($37.49)

My Favorite Farmhouse Throw Blankets

This is the same brand as the last one, but just slightly more expensive. I think this actually was the first throw blanket we ever got as a married couple to decorate our house, so it’s a bit sentimental.

Same as the last one, it’s really good quality for the price especially and I don’t really notice any wear surprisingly.

Vintage Stripe Throw Blanket ($49.99)

Another really minimalistic colored throw blanket that’ll really go with a lot of styles. Really no matter where you land on the scale of rustic farmhouse to French country farmhouse, or any other similar style, a pin striped blanket will coordinate well. It’s neutral colored so I can throw it over any of the different colored couches or chairs.

My Favorite Farmhouse Throw Blankets

Vintage floral blanket ($50.00)

Ok, I know, I know…

This is technically a baby blanket.

But it is actually quite big for a baby blanket and it is just THE most fabulous color and pattern.

So when I don’t have a tiny baby to wrap up in it, I throw it over a corner of the couch and its perfect.

Wandering Folk Ornate Floral Throw ($140)

This is seriously a gorgeous colored blanket.

It’s not really farmhouse style, it’s a little more boho even.

But I’m obsessed nonetheless.

It’s so fabulously colorful. I love the mustard colored side especially, I fold it in half with that side out and lay it over the corner of the couch. I love bringing in little pieces of my favorite mustard color into a room. Not a ton so it’s not overwhelming, but just little pops.

My Favorite Farmhouse Throw Blankets

Handmade mustard quilt

This one I don’t have a link for because it was handmade by my dear friend Liz. But I had to add it to the list, because it’s one of my absolute all-time favorites. It’s my favorite color ever and it’s antique looking even though it’s basically new because it’s quilted.

You can probably find really similar ones on Etsy though if this style floats your boat.

Those are all my favorite farmhouse throw blankets (and some I want to try soon!)

Where to find more throw blankets

If you are searching for some more throw blankets to add to your decor and you already have the ones I showed above (or they aren’t to your liking…which is totally fine), then here are a few places to search for more.

1. Antique / thrift stores

This is always my go-to for finding new decor if I am able to. Actually did you know that there are a ton of little “thrift shops” on instagram? They post each item with pictures as a post and you can comment to claim it. They are usually as reasonably priced as what I’d find locally anyway.

Then I don’t have to bring the toddlers into a local antique shop and risk something being broken. That’s always nice isn’t it?

2. Etsy

I love supporting little shops on etsy. There are so many beautiful handmade items for your home that you can find on there. I actually just ordered some linen curtains off there! I cannot wait to see them!

Anyway…rabbit trail…you can search for farmhouse throw blankets on there and the choices are just endless.

3. Amazon

This is my last resort usually. I don’t love supporting Amazon, but if when we couldn’t afford much at all when we were early married, then the $20 to $30 throw blankets on there were exactly what we needed. They do have a lot of high quality options for a reasonable price. You start where you can start.

And blessings!

Pin it for later!

Great roundup of farmhouse throw blankets! I appreciate how you broke down the options by price and style, making it easy to find something that fits both budget and aesthetic. As someone in the blanket business, I can attest to the value of versatile, durable options like the DII Rustic Farmhouse Cotton Cabana Striped Blanket—it’s impressive how well it holds up after years of use! The Wandering Folk Ornate Floral Throw is a great choice for adding a pop of color and a boho touch to a space. Out of curiosity, what’s your take on how fabric blend types, like cotton and fleece, impact both comfort and durability in these throws? Would love to hear your thoughts!
