The Best Ever Spiced Mocha Coffee Recipe that is perfect for the cold winters!

It is now autumn. The time for pumpkins, and sweaters, and steaming hot cups of spiced coffee.

So what better time than now to share one of my signature coffee recipes! Even better than you can get at starbucks.

Full of delicious spices, brain-boosting fats, and caffeine. Which is what this homemaking mama needs so she can remember to breathe.

Remembering to breathe is good.

This bursting pregnant lady can’t wait to enjoy this drink during the first snow of the season.

I am always excited to see the first snow, to be busily inside my warm kitchen whilst baking some tasty goodies for my husband, and to look out the window at the winter wonderland, but this year especially. Maybe it is because I am very pregnant and overheat easily, or maybe because I know that I’ll get to hold my little Sofia Allison in my arms once the snow falls. I can hardly believe I get to meet her in a little over 2 months!

But anyway, on to our recipe!

Spiced Mocha Coffee

For this brew combine all these ingredients in your french press (or adjust for whatever coffee machine you have) and allow it to brew:

  • Enough coffee grounds for one full 32 oz french press of coffee
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp nutmeg

You should now have about 4 cups of coffee. Add it to your blender along with these next ingredients:

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 4 tbs grass-fed butter
  • 4 tsp raw cacao powder (or cocoa powder)
  • maple syrup to taste
  • raw cream to your liking

Blend it thoroughly and taste it a couple times to make sure you’re happy with the sweetener. Pour yourself some in your favorite coffee mug and put the rest in a carafe to keep warm.

And then I share some with my hard-working husband who is happily tearing the bathroom walls down in preparation for re-wiring the electrical, building countertops, framing in windows, and making some beautiful end grain cutting boards to sell at this week’s market.

Life is all a crazy and wonderful roller-coaster. A series of moments that we will never get to experience again. Might as well make it delicious.

Pin it for later!
