The process of selling + buying our new home. All the ups and downs of selling + buying a home in a very high real estate market in Montana!

I never want to sell and buy a house again.
Ever in my life.
I’m tellin ya.
Most of this process I felt like I was going to die of an aneurysm.
No joke.
It taught me so much patience. It brought our family closer to God, closer together. But man it was hard.
I love just having our home base and not feeling like it’ll be uprooted soon. Which I don’t ever want to take for granted! I’m so thankful that we were able to buy this homestead and that we can stay here as long as we want!
But it sure was a roller-coaster trying to sell and buy a home in this insanely high real estate market. Trying to get all the pieces to line up at the exact right moment. Trying to get everyone to get their jobs done in the time limit (which thankfully we had my mom and our awesome realtor to handle!).
There was literally so many times that I totally gave up hope of ever getting this amazing property. We almost had to start the process over on another place several times. But we just kept praying and hoping and dreaming. And jumping through fiery hoops. And we finally made it.
I kept all the different parts of the process documented in this series of YouTube videos that I didn’t release until after we closed on both houses. So all the juicy details are in these videos!
The process of selling + buying our new home
Here is part 1 where I’m sharing how we are unexpectedly going to be selling our home sooner than we were planning to, because we had found a gorgeous piece of land, perfect for our family.
Part 2 is all about getting our current house under contract in the deadline, and huge issues we discovered with the new house during inspections.
In part 3 we are past all the inspections and on the home stretch!
Part 4 is where we finally make it to the finish line! We get through appraisals and the last finishing issues and close on both houses!
I’m so thankful and grateful that we stuck with it through the whole, long, stressful process. Because man oh man, was it worth it! I’m so excited that we finally own the homestead of our dreams. That we get to raise our children here. So stick around if you want to see all our plans for our new home and land!
And blessings.
